Hidenori Izaki

Champion of the 15th WBC World Barista Competition.
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan in 1990, his father ran a coffee shop that roasted his own coffee, so he was obsessed with it since he was a child. After dropping out of high school, he worked as a barista in the shop run by his father. Later, he enrolled in the International Culture Department of Hosei University and joined Maruyama Coffee while working part-time. At the age of 23, he won the JBC Japan Barista Competition and won it again the following year. Later, he visited many coffee bean producing areas around the world and established relationships with local coffee farmers. Close relationship. At the age of 25, he unexpectedly won the WBC World Barista Championship, becoming the first Asian to win this world honor.
